Normally I like to reserve this space for Overhead Crane education topics but a recent article crossed my desk that the readers of this blog may find helpful. The recent “Stimulus Package” passed by the federal government includes provisions for accelerated depreciation for all businesses and even the first year worth of expenses for new purchases by small businesses.
I’m no tax expert (other than sending 50 years of taxes to the IRS every April 15th), but this could be a really good time to reduce the cost of some needed equipment investments. Here’s two links to give you the details:
